Privacy Policy
Dev Handicraft (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who We Are
Dev Handicraft is the trading name of Amit Bhadra, trading as Quirky Picks, based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide to us.
2. What We Collect
When you place an order or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, delivery address, order details, and any message sent through our contact form. Payment information, such as card details, is collected and processed directly by our payment providers, Stripe and PayPal. We do not store your full payment details ourselves.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process and dispatch your order, communicate with you about your purchase, respond to enquiries, and meet our legal and tax obligations. If you opt in to hear from us, we may also use your email to send occasional updates about new pieces or offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Lawful Basis for Using Your Information
We use your personal information because it is necessary to process and fulfil your order, respond to your enquiries, meet our legal and tax obligations, and support the legitimate operation of our business. Where we send marketing emails, we will only do so where you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
5. Who We Share It With
We share only the minimum information necessary with trusted service providers. This may include Stripe and PayPal to process payments securely, shipping couriers such as DHL, FedEx, DPD, and UPS to deliver your order, and WordPress/WooCommerce to operate our website. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. International Transfers
As our products are shipped from Nepal, courier companies will process your delivery address outside the UK for this purpose only. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected in line with UK data protection law.
7. Cookies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to help it function correctly and to understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
8. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain order and transaction information for as long as required by UK tax and accounting law, generally six years, and delete or anonymise other personal information when it is no longer needed.
9. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact devhandicraftworld@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has not been handled properly.
