We want customers to understand clearly how cancellations, returns and refunds are handled. This policy applies to consumer purchases made through devhandicraft.com and forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

Dev Handicraft is the seller responsible for your order. All orders are carefully prepared and dispatched from Kathmandu, Nepal. Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

1. Contact Details

Dev Handicraft is a trading name used by Amit Bhadra, a UK sole trader who also trades under the name Quirky Picks. Please contact us before returning any item so that we can provide the correct return address and instructions.

2. Change of Mind Cancellation

If you are a consumer, you may cancel most online purchases without giving a reason. The cancellation period begins when the contract is formed and normally ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person identified by you, receives the goods.

If one order is delivered in separate parts, the cancellation period normally ends 14 days after the final part is received. To exercise the right to cancel, you must tell us clearly before the cancellation period ends.

3. How to Cancel

Email devhandicraftworld@gmail.com with your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You do not need to provide a reason. You may use the optional model cancellation form at the end of this policy, but you do not have to use it.

If you ask to cancel before dispatch, we will make reasonable efforts to stop the order. If the order has already been dispatched, you may still cancel within the applicable cancellation period, but the return process and return-cost provisions below will apply.

4. Returning an Item

After notifying us of a change-of-mind cancellation, you must send the goods back within 14 days. Please contact us before sending anything so that we can confirm the correct return address and any item-specific instructions.

The return address may differ from our London business address and from the address shown on the original parcel. Do not send an item to either address unless we have confirmed the return address to you in writing.

• Pack the item carefully and securely, using the original protective packaging where reasonably possible.

• Include your name and order number inside the parcel.

• Use a delivery service suitable for the item’s value, size and weight. We strongly recommend tracked delivery with adequate insurance, particularly for valuable items.

• Keep the receipt and tracking information until the return and refund have been completed.

Unless we arrange collection or provide a prepaid service, you are responsible for the goods while they are being returned. This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

5. Condition of Change-of-Mind Returns

You may inspect the goods in the same way that you reasonably could in a shop, to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. You are not required to leave an item completely unopened or unexamined.

Where permitted by law, we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary. Please return all parts, accessories and documentation supplied with the item. Original packaging should be used where reasonably possible, particularly where it is needed to protect the item during transport.

6. Return Costs

For a change-of-mind return, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless we agree otherwise or applicable law requires us to pay it.

Our products vary significantly in size, weight, value and destination, and international return costs can be substantial. You may contact us before placing an order for an estimate of the likely return cost for a particular product and destination.

Where an item is faulty, damaged in transit, incorrect or not as described, Dev Handicraft will cover reasonable return costs or arrange another suitable return method. Please contact us before incurring a high return cost so that we can agree the appropriate method.

7. Refund Amount and Timing

For a valid change-of-mind cancellation, we will refund the product price and any amount you paid for our least expensive standard delivery option. If you selected a more expensive delivery option, the additional delivery cost is not refundable. Where delivery was free, there is no outward delivery charge to refund.

We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first. We will make the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the relevant return or evidence of return.

Refunds are made to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We do not charge a refund or restocking fee for a valid statutory cancellation, although a lawful deduction may be made for diminished value caused by excessive handling.

After we issue a refund, your bank, card issuer or payment provider may take additional time to show the funds in your account.

8. Damaged, Faulty, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods

If an item arrives damaged, is faulty, is not the item ordered or does not match its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Include your order number and, where reasonably possible, photographs of the item, packaging and shipping label. Photographs help us assess the problem but do not remove your legal rights.

Where the goods do not meet applicable consumer-law standards, we will provide the remedy required by law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction. We will cover reasonable return costs for goods confirmed to be faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed.

For UK consumers, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. UK law may provide a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods, followed by rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in appropriate circumstances. These rights may continue beyond 30 days.

9. Custom or Personalised Goods

The change-of-mind cancellation right does not normally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as an item produced with a custom inscription, where the relevant legal exception applies. Any such limitation will be explained before you place the order.

This exception does not affect your rights if a custom or personalised item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

10. Refused, Unclaimed or Undeliverable Parcels

Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address and cooperate with reasonable courier and customs requirements. Refusing delivery, failing to collect a parcel, or declining to pay applicable import charges does not automatically amount to a valid cancellation.

If a parcel is returned to us in these circumstances, we will contact you. Any refund will be handled after the goods are returned and may be reduced only by costs or loss in value that we are legally entitled to deduct. Your statutory cancellation and consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Exchanges

We do not operate an automatic exchange service for change-of-mind returns. You may return an eligible item for a refund and place a new order. Where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed, a replacement may be available as one of the applicable remedies.

12. Sale Items and Promotional Purchases

Sale items and products purchased with a promotional code have the same statutory consumer rights as full-price items. Any refund will reflect the amount actually paid for the returned product, subject to the rules in this policy.

13. Your Legal Rights

This policy sits alongside our Terms & Conditions and Shipping Policy. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any other mandatory consumer protection that applies to you.

Consumers outside the United Kingdom also retain any mandatory rights provided by the law of their country of residence.

Please read our Terms & Conditions.

Please read our Shipping Policy.

14. Optional Cancellation Form

An optional model cancellation form is included at the end of our Terms & Conditions. You may use that form, but a clear email sent before the cancellation deadline is sufficient.

View our Terms & Conditions for the optional form.
