Welcome to devhandicraft.com. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and any purchase you make from us. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. These Terms apply to purchases made by consumers for personal use. If you are purchasing wholly or mainly for business or resale purposes, please contact us before ordering. Nothing in these Terms affects rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
1. Who We Are
Dev Handicraft is a trading name used by Amit Bhadra, a UK sole trader who also trades under the name Quirky Picks. When you purchase through this website, your contract is with Amit Bhadra trading as Dev Handicraft. Dev Handicraft is the seller responsible for your order.

2. Products
Dev Handicraft specialises in handcrafted Buddhist statues, stupas and ritual items from Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. We work directly with experienced artisans and established manufacturers to select products that reflect Nepal’s artistic heritage and traditional craftsmanship.
The main characteristics of each product, including its materials, dimensions, weight, finish and price, are shown on the relevant product page. Because the products are handcrafted, slight natural variations in size, weight, colour, finish and detailing may occur. These variations are part of the character of handmade work and are not faults.
We take reasonable care to ensure that product photographs and descriptions are accurate. Colours and fine details may appear slightly different because of lighting, photography and screen settings. Please contact us before ordering if a particular measurement, material or feature is essential to your decision.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in GBP. We are not currently registered for UK VAT. We currently offer free international delivery to destinations served by our courier partners. Any applicable delivery charge will be clearly displayed before you place your order.
Payment is processed securely through the payment providers displayed at checkout. We do not store your full card or payment details on our own systems. You must provide complete and accurate payment information and confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting your order, we will contact you and give you the choice of confirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it for a full refund.
4. Orders and Contract Formation
Placing an order is an offer to purchase the selected product. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order, but it does not mean that the order has been accepted.
A contract is formed when we send you an email confirming that the order has been dispatched. Depending on the payment provider, payment may be authorised or taken before the order is accepted. If we do not accept the order, any payment received will be refunded to the original payment method.
You are responsible for checking that the products, delivery address, contact details and other information supplied with your order are correct. Please contact us promptly if you notice an error.
5. Product Availability and Our Right to Decline an Order
All products are subject to availability. A product may become unavailable after an order is placed. We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, information appears incorrect, fraud or misuse is suspected, delivery is not available to the destination, or the order cannot lawfully be fulfilled.
If we decline or cancel an order after payment has been received, we will notify you and issue a full refund for the affected product.
6. Shipping and Delivery
All orders are carefully prepared and dispatched from Kathmandu, Nepal. We use a suitable tracked international courier. Dispatch times, delivery estimates, eligible destinations and other delivery information are explained in our Shipping Policy.
Please read our Shipping Policy before placing an order.
Delivery dates are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a fixed date with you. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs procedures, courier disruption or other circumstances outside our reasonable control, but this does not affect your legal rights. Where UK consumer law applies and no different delivery period has been agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is formed.
The goods remain at our risk until they are received by you or by a person identified by you to receive them. You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for cooperating with reasonable courier delivery requirements.
7. Customs, Import Duties and Local Charges
Orders are dispatched internationally from Nepal. Customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees and local handling charges may be imposed by the destination country. Unless we expressly state otherwise, these charges are not included in the product price and are the customer’s responsibility.
You are responsible for checking any import restrictions that apply in your country. We will not provide false customs information, undervalue a shipment or mark a commercial purchase as a gift. If an order is returned because import charges were not paid or delivery was refused, any refund will be handled after the item is returned and may be reduced only by costs that we are legally entitled to deduct.
8. Your Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer, you may cancel most online purchases without giving a reason. The cancellation period begins when the contract is formed and normally ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person identified by you, receives the goods. If one order is delivered in separate parts, the period normally ends 14 days after the final part is received.
To cancel, send us a clear statement by email before the cancellation period ends. You may use the optional model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to use it. If you ask to cancel before dispatch, we will make reasonable efforts to stop the order.
The legal right to cancel may not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, where the relevant legal exception applies. Any such limitation will be explained before you place the order.
After cancelling, you must return the goods within 14 days. For a change of mind return, you are normally responsible for the direct return cost unless we agree otherwise. Items must be returned using a tracked service with suitable insurance. Because international return costs vary by product and destination, you may contact us before purchase for an estimate. Please contact us before sending any return so that we can provide the correct return address and instructions.
9. Returns, Refunds and Faulty Goods
Our Return & Refund Policy explains the return process in more detail and forms part of these Terms.
For a valid change of mind cancellation, we will refund payments due to you using the original payment method, unless another method is expressly agreed. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that they have been returned. The refund will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the relevant return or evidence of return.
You may handle the goods only as much as reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way that you could examine an item in a shop. Where legally permitted, we may reduce the refund to reflect loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary.
If a product is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide your order details and suitable photographs where available. We will offer the remedy required by applicable consumer law and will cover reasonable return costs where the product is faulty, damaged or misdescribed.
For UK consumers, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. UK law may provide a 30 day short term right to reject faulty goods, followed by rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in appropriate circumstances. Nothing in these Terms or our policies limits your statutory rights.
10. Use of the Website
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, or use its content in a way that infringes the rights of another person.
We may temporarily suspend or restrict access to parts of the website for maintenance, security or technical reasons. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available without interruption.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the text, product photography, graphics, logos, layout and other content on this website are owned by or licensed to Dev Handicraft and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may view and use the website for personal shopping purposes. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell or commercially use website content without prior written permission from the relevant rights holder.
12. Privacy and Personal Information
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, who may access or receive it, how international processing is handled and the rights available to you.
Please read our Privacy Policy.
13. Our Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable when the contract was formed.
The products sold through this website are offered for personal and domestic use. We are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or data, arising from a consumer purchase. This does not affect any rights that the law gives you.
14. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, civil disturbance, government action, customs delays, strikes, transport disruption, courier failure, internet or systems failure, or interruption to international shipping routes.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of such an event and will contact you where appropriate. If there is a substantial delay, you may have the right to cancel the affected order and receive a refund for goods not supplied.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any contract between you and Dev Handicraft are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living outside England and Wales, you also retain any mandatory consumer protections given to you by the law of your country of residence.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but this does not prevent a consumer from bringing proceedings in another court where applicable consumer law allows or requires it. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
16. General
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean that the right has been waived.
These Terms, together with the product information, Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, set out the terms relevant to your purchase. No person other than you and Dev Handicraft has a right to enforce the contract, except where the law provides otherwise.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our website, business practices, payment methods or legal responsibilities. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date. The version in effect when you place an order will apply to that order.
